About these GABA drug test strips

Our GABA test strips are single-panel urine dip tests that screen for GABA. Each strip is individually sealed and gives a visual result in about 5 minutes, with no lab equipment needed.

  • Detects: GABA
  • Cutoff level: 2000 ng/mL
  • Specimen: urine
  • Results: read at 5 minutes
  • Status: Forensic use only (not for clinical diagnosis)
  • Packs: box of 25 or case of 100 (minimum order 25)

How to use a GABA dip test strip

  1. Collect the urine sample in a clean, dry cup.
  2. Open the sealed pouch and hold the strip by the top end.
  3. Dip the strip into the urine with the arrows pointing down for 10 to 15 seconds. Do not go past the MAX line.
  4. Lay the strip flat on a clean, dry surface.
  5. Read the result at 5 minutes. Do not read results after 10 minutes.

Reading the result

  • Negative: two lines, one at the control (C) region and one at the test (T) region. Even a faint T line counts as negative.
  • Preliminary positive: only the C line appears.
  • Invalid: no C line. Retest with a new strip.

Always follow the package insert. A preliminary positive should be confirmed by a laboratory test (such as GC/MS).

Sober living homes, addiction treatment and recovery programs, employers, schools, and families use GABA test strips for fast, low-cost screening. Buying in bulk keeps the cost per test low, with deeper discounts at 50, 75 and 100 strips.
